“Pioneer Woman” Ree Drummond and all of our Kitchen Conversations blogger friends dished up some truly delectable recipes.

Amount of member milk processed at Land O’Lakes plants that comes from FARM®-verified farms.

Savings for us and our member-owners through the Truck Purchasing Program.

We teamed up with the Minnesota Lynx to honor some awesome and Inspiring Women.

Simple and convenient products were the name of the game. Younger consumers loved our 24 ounce Butter with Canola Oil and Garlic & Herb Butter Spread.

Our intern program had its biggest year yet. About 1/3 of our interns convert to full-time positions.

By the numbers

Member-owners Cliff and Andrea Sensenig won a 2014 Dairy Sustainability Award for their anaerobic digester. The digester:

  • Generates more than 1.4 million kilowatt hours per year
  • Supports the electricity needs of 700 people
  • Offset 989 metric tons of GHG emissions (equivalent to removing 206 cars from the road annually)

 

Play big on campus

Recruiters visited 26 key campuses and hosted 256 campus events.

Our sales team built +2,000 festive dairy case displays for June Dairy Month.

Celebrated 93 years

It was on June 7, 1921 that an entrepreneurial group of Midwestern farmers joined together to form the Minnesota Cooperative Creameries Association, which was renamed Land O'Lakes in 1924. We’ve certainly come a long way. Today, we do business in all 50 states and more than 60 countries.

Butter was back

U.S. butter consumption rose to its highest level in 40 years. Our team successfully navigated volatile conditions to deliver record volume and profits within the butter business for the fifth year in a row.

Heard the buzz?

We joined the Honey Bee Health Coalition.

Approximate number of acres of U.S. cropland that use InterLock®.

Once again we made the Fortune 200, #199 to be exact.

Innovation on the farm

We announced the launch of the Answer Tech™ platform.

Employees manned the Moo Booth. This Minnesota State Fair staple helps fairgoers learn more about agriculture and modern farming.

World record holders

339 employees hooped it up, setting a Guinness World Record for the largest basketball lesson. University of Minnesota Basketball Coach Richard Pitino led employees in a 30-minute practice as part of the kickoff to our Greater Twin Cities United Way campaign.

And record smashers

Setting another record, we raised more than $2 million for United Way, with donations coming in from locations across the country.

Ski-U-Mah!

We and the Land O’Lakes Foundation committed to donate $25 million, over 10 years, to drive educational excellence and student development programs across the University of Minnesota. We’re excited for this long-term investment in best talent and recruitment.

Community Gardens

The Answer Plot® Community Gardens sure did grow. Twenty-two gardens in 13 states produced 588,000 servings of vegetables.

DFI

We announced our partnership with Nestlé to deliver agricultural insights and expertise at the Nestlé Dairy Farming Institute (DFI), a training center located in China.

Visitors to the recently-renovated Purina Animal Nutrition Center.

IDD website got a facelift

With programs made possible primarily by the U.S. Agency for International Development and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, our International Development Division (IDD) is transforming lives by engaging in agriculture and enterprise partnerships that replace poverty with prosperity, and dependency with self-reliance.

It will take new and innovative solutions. Our Emerging Leaders for Food Security Program is helping develop the next generation of leaders.

Our Corporate Equality Index score for the second year in a row.

The First Run Donation program made these hallmark stops at the Food Bank of the Heartland in Omaha, Nebraska, and the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank in Akron, Ohio.

The LAND O LAKES® Holiday Brochure celebrated its 25th anniversary.

First Run hit another donation milestone–we passed the 3 million pound mark.
